You may have noticed that I'm currently featuring my Fiction Blog on the Home page, which might seem odd for someone who has been known mostly as a journalist, or a non-fiction writer. That is precisely the point – I love the different kind of truth I find when practicing fiction, and it's a discipline I didn't practice much at all in the ten years after college. One of my more successful colleagues in the freelance world has said, "fiction is dead," and he's not the only one to say so. I beg to differ. It's certainly harder to make money in fiction, but it still has value. Some parts of the soul are too dark and deep to fathom without the light of imagination! I hope you, dear readers, will join me for all kinds of adventures.
